Carbon steel weld neck flanges PN16 type 11 B1 according EN1092-1 are widely used in pipelines and systems for transport of fluids such as oil, fuel, gas, steam, water, chemicals and many others. Weld neck flanges are the preferred way of connection in installations with high requirements, high pressures and temperatures, and in applications where flow continuity is required. Flanges type 11 can be easily butt welded in place and provide rigid and robust assembly. Weld neck flanges provide easy access for further mounting in place of valves and equipment. Standard EN1092-1 and especially the WN flanges inherits the old standards DIN2631-2635 and many more similar standards. According to EN1092-1, unification of flanges with different types of nominal pressure is made, only for certain sizes. The marking of these unified flanges with the corresponding nominal pressure range is standardized accordingly. For example, the designation PN40/10 means that PN40, PN25, PN16, PN10 are covered by the same flange.
